Run Rudolph Run
At Fantoons we adore comic books, and for us, the Godfather of Rock n’ Roll deserves to be an iconic comic book character. That was the principle of our concept, in fact, we created the pitch as a comic book for the Chuck Berry estate and Universal music.
They loved our concept. The song “Run Rudolph Run” has been a staple of the holidays for over sixty years and counting. It’s been covered by The Foo Fighters, Lemmy Kilmister, and everyone under the sun–the pressure was on! Thankfully, we were all up to the challenge, and this was an opportunity we were not going to miss.

The final video was praised by the entire Berry family all over the media, including Rolling Stone Magazine:
This is the reason why we do what we do. To bring joy to everyone with our stories, this video was a privilege to create.
Throughout our entire production it was of extreme importance to keep an authentic comic book inking style throughout the piece. With shadows and line-weights that vary depending on the scene.
Chuck Berry loved his Cadillacs…the coolness of the man riding a Cadillac sleigh couldn’t be beaten. At the same time, we had to choose a color palette that felt in line with the festive season that we all love. The marriage of cool and traditional can be a challenge, but we achieved this in a beautiful palette with a timeless feeling.
