I’ll be Home for Christmas
MUSIC
Christmas is a treasured time for families to come together and share memories, but it’s also a time to celebrate the many selfless professionals that work on Christmas Eve–that’s the driving force behind this project. We wanted to create a homage for the hard workers around the world, throughout several eras, accompanied by this classic and timeless Bing Crosby song.
This animated music video features a montage of classic holiday imagery throughout the decades; from the lavishly decorated Christmas trees of a 19th century home, to snowy hillside trains roaring alongside the roaring ‘20s, bringing us all the way to loving families celebrating together in the ‘70s and beyond.
Concept Art
Throughout the animation, Crosby can be seen singing in each era, ranging from the ‘10s, ‘20s, ‘70s, all leading towards the present. We created distinct backgrounds and color palettes for every era, heightening each emotional holiday story.
The animation style was kept simple, as to capture the warmth and tranquility of arriving home on Christmas Eve, as well as complimenting the stylized background and character design.

Some of the backgrounds contain carefully hidden Easter eggs from Crosby’s other songs–a real Christmas feast for eagle-eyed Bing Crosby Fans!
Props
We selected and designed fairly detailed props for this animation, paying specific attention to the transportation vehicles of each era, such as the magnificent train traversing the snowy hills, or the classic New York yellow Taxi.
